At Prescott Hearing Center, it is our top priority to ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff, and others whom we have personal contact.

With the spread of the COVID-19 virus becoming a stark reality, we want to take a moment to let you know how we are mitigating personal exposure to everyone.

We also understand the importance of maintaining your hearing ability and will continue addressing the needs of our patients into the foreseeable future.  Being able to hear well is even more important now during this international crisis.  Partial understanding or misunderstanding advice and directions may have critical implications to the one suffering from hearing loss during this time of uncertainty.

With the objectives of limiting personal exposure to everyone and to continue to provide the required care to those who need it, we are currently incorporating the following practices into our Prescott Hearing office.

Curbside service

For those of you that already have hearing aids and need supplies or a simple cleaning of your hearing aids, we will be happy to provide these services while you stay in the comfort of your car.  In order to ensure our prompt attention to your needs, please consider one of the following:

  • Please call ahead if possible or after you arrive in our parking lot
  • Toot your horn upon arrival
  • Knock on our front door

Telecare

Prescott Hearing Center is pleased to announce Telecare Hearing Services (THS) to all of our patients.  Using video conferencing, we may have a virtual appointment without the need for you to leave your home.  Our patients with Signia hearing aids can even get adjustments made to their hearing aids remotely providing the user has a compatible smartphone.  We are currently able to provide the following:

  • Hearing aid adjustments for Signia users
  • Online video chat
  • Online resources including “how-to” videos

Office Visits

New tests, hearing aid deliveries, and necessary follow-up appointments will still be offered in-person at our office or your home, and is the lifeline to our very existence.  We take every precaution to sanitize and disinfect surfaces which our patients may come into contact with.  By implementing the above protocols, we aim to limit the exposure to everyone.  Please do not make an in-person appointment at this time if you answer “yes to any of the following questions.

  • Do you have signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection such as a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
  • Have you, in the last 14 days, had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19?
  • Have you travelled internationally within the last 14 days?
  • Have you been on a cruise in the past 14 days?

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us help you maintain your hearing healthcare.  Together we will make it through these difficult and uncertain times.
